Steve Dolton
Mr. Dolton is Assistant Head of Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Ashbourne.

My intention was to watch Return to Limbang with an educator's eye and
make judgements about its suitability for use with pupils of secondary
school age. I was not prepared for the emotional impact of the film and
its overwhelming message of hope and reconciliation. My wife and I were
both moved to tears.

The film-making style makes the documentary accessible to a teenage
audience who will enjoy the sustained tension and quick fire editing
techniques. Above all, they will respond and relate to the humanity and
courage of the combatants on both sides.

The film would sit easily in schemes of work for personal and social
education, religious studies and contemporary history courses.

My congratulations go to all involved in the making of the film. It
represents an enormous undertaking at each stage of the production process
and clearly deserves national attention. Its impact would reverberate
throughout many areas of society I am sure. Good luck!
