Bill Elliott shot the first HDTV feature in North Texas and has become recognized as one of the top HDTV specialists in Texas, coordinating HDTV educational programs and workshops for film and tape professionals in Texas. Bill's background has roots in photojournalism for television news, culminating as a Special Projects photojournalist, shooting and co-producing investigative reports and in-depth series reports. During his 10th year in television news, Bill was recruited by American Airlines to be a video photographer / producer in their newly-formed corporate television department. While at American, Bill shot and produced tourism, marketing, and training productions in more than 20 countries around the world ranging from the jungles of Brazil to the ruins of ancient Turkey. His extensive experience shooting in distant locations allowed him to leave American after 11 years and start shooting as an independent Director of Photography specializing in Travel & Tourism.
