Mario Mirarchi is an amateur historian with a particular interest in post-World War II insurgencies and low-intensity conflicts. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and has been employed by the Radio Marti program of the U.S. International Broadcasting Bureau where he worked as news assistant responsible for preparing reports and researching material for broadcasts.

He also worked at the Institute of World Politics, a graduate school of international relations in Washington, DC, assisting in the administration of the school and coordinating guest speakers for courses in intelligence and national security policy.

Mario is a contributor to the Britain's Small Wars website, which published his article "the Richard Noone Expedition to Vietnam".

Mario currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
