Bill Elliott has been actively involved shooting HD television projects for more than 7 years and was the first to shoot a HDTV short feature in North Texas. Since then, he has become recognized as one of the top HDTV specialists in the Southwest.
Bill's background has roots in photojournalism for television news, culminating as a Special Projects photojournalist, shooting and co-producing in-depth investigative reports and series. During his 10th year in television news, Bill was recruited by American Airlines to be a video photographer/producer in their newly formed corporate television department. He shot and produced tourism, marketing and training productions for American in more than 20 countries. This extensive global experience was the catalyst to become an independent Director of Photography specializing in travel and tourism.
Bill’s success is evident in his travel industry client list that includes Princess Cruises, Cunard Cruise Lines, P&0 Australia Cruises, Oceania Cruise Lines and more. In addition to news and travel industry clients, he now specializes in shooting cinema-style high definition television and film projects for broadcast networks including Discovery Channel, History Channel, National Geographic, and PBS.
To date, Bill has worked on projects in more than 40 countries around the world ranging from the Northern Canadian Rockies to the jungles of Borneo.
